How do RevPoints work?
RevPoints are Revolut's own loyalty currency. Every euro spent with your Revolut card earns a certain number of points, depending on the plan you subscribe to. The principle is simple: the higher your plan, the bigger your multiplier, and the faster you build up points.
These points accumulate automatically in the Revolut app, with no action required on your part. You will find them in the dedicated section of the app, along with your earning history and all the redemption options available. The value of a point is not fixed: it depends directly on how you choose to use them, which makes the optimisation strategy particularly interesting.

How do you earn RevPoints?
RevPoints can be earned in several ways, and users who only know the main method (card spending) miss out on significant additional sources of points.
- Card payments (main source): every purchase made with your physical or virtual Revolut card earns points according to your plan multiplier.
- Revolut referrals: referring a friend who opens and activates an account can earn you a RevPoints bonus. The amounts change regularly depending on the promotional offers running.
- Partner offers and Revolut Offers: the "Offers" section of the app lists partner merchants that grant extra RevPoints on your purchases, provided you activate the offer before buying.
- RevPoints challenges: Revolut regularly runs in-app challenges (spend a given amount in a category, make a number of transactions, etc.) that grant a points bonus once completed.
- Ratings and in-app actions: rating your transactions, completing your profile or activating certain features can earn small points bonuses from time to time.
How do you use your RevPoints?
Once you have built up points, Revolut offers several redemption options that are not worth the same. Choosing the right option can make a significant difference to the real return on your points.
- Discount through Revolut Pay: apply your points as a direct discount when paying with Revolut Pay. At the 10% discount tier, the displayed rate is 100 points = €1, the most favourable.
- Purchases with partners: use your points for discounts or perks with partners selected by Revolut (hotels, restaurants, e-commerce).
- Airline miles: transfer your points to the loyalty programmes of partner airlines (1 point = 1 mile), ideal for frequent travellers.
- Gift cards: exchange your points for gift cards from many retailers (around 1,400 points for €10), the simple alternative when Revolut Pay is not available.
- Revolut Stays: book hotels or experiences using all or part of your RevPoints.
What is a RevPoint really worth?
The value of a RevPoint is not fixed: it depends entirely on the redemption option chosen. To stay consistent from one page to the next, we use a single indicative value of 0.7 cents per point. In practice, the Revolut Pay discount at the 10% tier shows 100 points = €1, miles convert 1 for 1, and a gift card costs around 1,400 points for €10.
It is therefore always worth comparing the options available in the app before redeeming: depending on the channel, the same points balance can represent noticeably different amounts.
