The author

David Scylla, publisher and author of RevOptimize. A Revolut enthusiast, he enjoys comparing and optimising to get the most out of every benefit, whatever the plan. He created this site to answer a simple question that the official pages leave unanswered: which plan actually pays off, for which profile, with the figures to back it up.

The site is published on a personal basis. It has no employment relationship, editorial partnership or shareholding link with Revolut. Contact: contact@revoptimize.fr.

What we cover

The personal Revolut plans available in France (Standard, Plus, Premium, Metal, Ultra), the RevPoints programme, account features (joint account, virtual cards, insurance, credit), using Revolut abroad and regulatory news, in particular the French banking licence obtained on 10 August 2026. We do not cover Revolut Business accounts, nor investment products beyond a factual description.

How we check the facts

  1. Official sources first. Every price, limit, multiplier or guarantee is checked against Revolut's official pages (pricing grid, legal fee pages, help centre). The specialist press is only used to date an event or when Revolut does not publish the figure (for example the price of a lounge pass).
  2. A single data file. All plan figures are centralised in one file that feeds the pages, the comparison table and the simulator. A correction therefore applies everywhere at once: this is what prevents one page contradicting another.
  3. Systematic dating. Every page shows its last update date and, for pages with figures, the date the data was checked. Last global check of prices: 8 September 2026.
  4. Explicit confidence level. When a figure is not published officially (lounge price, value of a RevPoint), we flag it as indicative and explain how it is estimated.
  5. Reproducible calculations. The profitability examples are calculated from the data file, with the assumptions shown (monthly spending, number of trips). The simulator applies exactly the same rules.

Funding and independence

RevOptimize is funded by referral links to Revolut: when a reader opens an account through our links, we earn a commission, at no extra cost to them. These links are flagged next to each button and in the footer. They change neither the price paid by the reader nor our conclusions: we say explicitly when the free plan is the best choice, and our pages list the limits of every plan.

Reporting an error

Despite our checks, a piece of information may become outdated or contain an error. Write to contact@revoptimize.fr stating the page concerned: we will correct it and update the page date.
