€60 / month, top-tier plan

Revolut Ultra at €60/month: who does it really pay off for in 2026?

Ultra is Revolut's highest plan and, at €60/month, it is a significant financial outlay. It offers the maximum on every front: RevPoints ×10 (1 point per €1), unlimited lounges, Amazon Prime and 21 partners included, 24/7 priority support, ATM withdrawals up to €2,000/month and the highest savings boost in the range (+1.25%). But we will say it upfront, without hedging: Ultra only pays off for a very specific profile. Most users, even those who travel regularly, will be better served by Metal at €18.99. This guide establishes precisely the threshold at which Ultra becomes the best choice.

€60 / month or €595 a year on the annual subscription (that is €49.58/month)
Up-to-date pricing: since 9 July 2026, Ultra costs €60/month (versus €55 before) and €595 a year (versus €540) for customers in France. In return, Revolut has expanded the partner perks: Ultra claims 21 partners, including Amazon Prime at no charge since early September 2026, Super Duolingo, Flo Premium, Lovable Lite, Laundryheap+, L'Équipe, ChatGPT Go, and 5 GB of eSIM data a month. The banking benefits (exchange, withdrawals, insurance) are unchanged.

The exclusive benefits of Revolut Ultra

Ultra pushes every perk in the range to its maximum: RevPoints ×10, unlimited free lounges (vs a reduced rate on Metal), Amazon Prime and 21 partners included, and the best savings boost in the range.

  • Platinum-plated card: the pinnacle of premium metal

Ultra gives you a platinum-plated card, distinct from Metal's steel card. Its design and weight are on a par with the prestige cards of major private banks. It is delivered in neat premium packaging and immediately signals ultra-premium status in professional settings or when paying day to day.

  • RevPoints ×10: the maximum multiplier in the range (1 point per €1)

Every euro spent with Ultra earns you 1 RevPoint, that is ×10 compared with Standard. On €2,000 a month of spending, you earn 24,000 points a year with Ultra vs 12,000 with Metal (×5, that is 0.5 pt/€). The actual value of this gap (12,000 extra points a year, around €84 at 0.7 cents a point) depends on how you redeem them.

  • Unlimited free lounges: the main advantage vs Metal

Ultra is the only Revolut plan to offer completely free, unlimited lounge access for the account holder (DragonPass network, 1,600+ lounges). On Metal, every lounge visit is paid (around €28, indicative price). If you fly regularly, the saving can be considerable: 4 visits a month represent €112 saved vs Metal, comfortably more than the extra cost of Ultra (€41.01/month vs Metal).

  • Amazon Prime and 21 partners included

Since early September 2026, Ultra includes Amazon Prime at no charge, on top of Super Duolingo, Flo Premium, Lovable Lite, Laundryheap+, L'Équipe, ChatGPT Go and 5 GB of eSIM data a month abroad. Revolut claims 21 partners in total. Only count the subscriptions you would have paid for anyway: for an existing Prime subscriber, it is a direct saving that reduces the real extra cost vs Metal by the same amount.

  • ATM withdrawals up to €2,000/month: the highest allowance

Ultra lets you withdraw up to €2,000/month in cash free of charge, 2.5 times more than Metal (€800) and 10 times more than Standard and Plus (€200). Above €2,000 a month, a 2% fee (minimum €1) applies to the excess, as on all plans. For cash-heavy destinations (South-East Asia, some African or Eastern European destinations), this high allowance can mean a real saving on withdrawal fees.

  • Savings boost of +1.25%: the best return in the range

Ultra offers the highest interest boost on Revolut Vaults (+1.25%), versus +1% for Metal and +0.5% for Premium. On €20,000 of savings, the +0.25% gap vs Metal represents an extra €50 a year. A modest perk against the €595 a year subscription, but one that adds to the other benefits.

Does Ultra pay off? Two worked scenarios

The answer depends entirely on your spending and travel profile. Here are two opposite scenarios to calibrate your decision. Partner perks (Amazon Prime in particular) are not counted: add them only if you would have paid for them anyway.

Scenario 1: active frequent traveller (Ultra pays off)

A professional with €4,000 a month of card spending, flying often, using 4 lounges a month alone.

+ €112.00/month Lounges: 4 free visits vs around €28 per visit on Metal 4 × €28 saved (indicative DragonPass price)
+ €14.00/month RevPoints ×10: surplus vs Metal ×5 on €4,000/month 2,000 extra pts at 0.7 cents/pt
€126.00/month Ultra advantage vs Metal
- €41.01/month Extra cost of Ultra vs Metal (€60 - €18.99)
+ €84.99/month Net gain of Ultra vs Metal that is around €1,020 a year of net benefit vs Metal

Scenario 2: occasional traveller (Metal is the better deal)

A regular user with €1,500 a month of card spending, 1 trip a month alone, 1 lounge visit a month.

+ €28.00/month Lounge: 1 free visit vs around €28 paid on Metal 1 × €28 saved (indicative DragonPass price)
+ €5.25/month RevPoints ×10: surplus vs Metal ×5 on €1,500/month 750 extra pts at 0.7 cents/pt
€33.25/month Ultra advantage vs Metal
- €41.01/month Extra cost of Ultra vs Metal (€60 - €18.99)
- €7.76/month Net gain of Ultra vs Metal Metal is the better deal: you save €7.76 a month by staying on Metal
Conclusion of scenario 2: with this profile, staying on Metal at €18.99 saves you around €7.76 a month. The Ultra advantage (free lounge + RevPoints ×10) does not cover the extra €41.01 a month. Break-even is reached from around 1.5 lounge visits a month, or with 1 lounge visit and around €3,800 a month of spending.

The honest limits of Revolut Ultra

Editorial note: we believe transparency is more useful than a sales pitch. Ultra is excellent for the right profiles, but needlessly expensive for most users. Here is why.
  • €60/month, that is €720 a year on monthly billing (€595 on annual billing): a significant financial commitment

Revolut Ultra costs more than an annual home insurance policy or a premium streaming subscription. Before subscribing, work out your actual net gain precisely. If your expected benefit is less than €60 a month of value recovered, the outlay is not justified.

  • Only pays off for frequent travellers who use lounges very often

The difference between Ultra and Metal is justified mainly by: (1) free lounges (real value only if you fly regularly; 1.5 visits a month is enough to break even), and (2) RevPoints ×10 (the gap with Metal ×5 grows with your spending volume, but is not enough on its own to justify the extra cost). Amazon Prime included only counts if you were already a subscriber. Outside these uses, Metal objectively remains the best choice.

  • The vast majority of users are better served by Metal

Let us be clear: if you earn a comfortable living but do not spend more than €4,000 a month on your Revolut card, nor use lounges very frequently, Metal at €18.99 will give you a better return than Ultra. Do not choose Ultra for the prestige, choose it for the numbers.

Revolut Ultra: which profile exactly?

This plan is for you if...

  • You use lounges frequently (1.5 visits a month or more: the free lounge is the main driver of value vs Metal)
  • You fly several times a month and want airport lounge access with no cost per visit
  • Your monthly spending through Revolut exceeds €4,000 (RevPoints ×10 generate significantly more value than Metal ×5)
  • You already subscribe to Amazon Prime or to several of the 21 partners included: their cost comes off the extra cost
  • You regularly withdraw cash abroad and need more than €800/month (the Metal allowance)
  • You want the best savings boost available (+1.25% vs +1% on Metal) on substantial savings

Categorically avoid this plan if...

  • You fly less than once or twice a month: Metal's reduced-rate lounge is more than enough
  • You travel rarely or occasionally: Metal offers far better value
  • You are drawn to Ultra only for the platinum card or the prestige: a poor financial criterion at €595 a year
  • Your monthly ATM withdrawals are below €800: the Metal allowance is already enough
  • Your monthly spending through Revolut is below €4,000: the RevPoints gap of ×10 vs ×5 does not make up the extra cost on its own

Ultra vs Metal: the only comparison that matters

There is no plan above Ultra. The only question is: are the extra €41.01 a month vs Metal justified?

Comparison of the Metal and Ultra plans and value of the difference
Criterion Metal (€18.99) Ultra (current, €60) Value of the difference
Annual price€185€595+€410 a year

Free ATM withdrawals€800/month€2,000/monthRelevant if more than €800 a month in cash
Savings boost+1%+1.25%+€25 a year on €10,000
Extra cost vs MetalBaseline+€41.01/month€492.12 a year to recoup on monthly billing (€410 on annual billing)

Verdict: for the extra €41.01 a month to pay off, you need to recover at least €41.01 a month of additional value vs Metal. The free lounge is the main driver: each visit saves around €28 vs Metal (reduced rate). From 1.5 lounge visits a month, switching to Ultra is mathematically justified. RevPoints ×10 (vs ×5 on Metal), Amazon Prime if you were already a subscriber, and the +1.25% savings boost come on top as complementary benefits. Below that threshold, stay on Metal.

Frequently asked questions about Revolut Ultra

Is Revolut Ultra worth its €60/month?

The honest answer: it depends entirely on how much you use lounges and how much you spend. Ultra is worth its €60/month if you use lounges 1.5 times or more a month (each visit saves around €28 vs Metal), and/or if you spend more than €4,000 a month through Revolut while also using lounges. Since September 2026, Amazon Prime included at no charge also tips the balance if you would have paid for it anyway.

If you rarely fly or travel moderately, Metal at €18.99 will give you a better return. Use our simulator for a precise calculation based on your real figures.

Which profile does Ultra really pay off for?

Ultra objectively pays off for two main profiles:

  1. The frequent flyer: someone who uses lounges 2 times or more a month. Each free visit saves around €28 vs Metal; 2 visits a month represent €56 saved, comfortably covering the extra €41.01 vs Metal.
  2. The professional with very high spending: someone spending €4,000 a month or more through Revolut. RevPoints ×10 (vs ×5 on Metal) generate 2,000 extra points a month (around €14 at 0.7 cents a point), a real contribution to the total benefit when combined with the lounge perk.
Revolut Ultra vs Metal: when should I move up to Ultra?

The decision rule is simple: move up to Ultra only if at least one of these conditions is met with certainty:

  • You use lounges 1.5 times or more a month (free lounge vs around €28 paid on Metal is the main driver of value)
  • Your monthly spending exceeds €4,000 (the RevPoints gap of ×10 vs ×5 generates significant extra value: it contributes but is not enough on its own)
  • You need more than €800/month in ATM withdrawals (the Metal allowance)

Outside these cases, Metal remains the best value for regular frequent travellers.

Does Ultra let me bring a guest into lounges for free?

No. Ultra offers unlimited free lounge access only for the account holder. Guests pay the full DragonPass price, around €35 per visit (indicative price shown in the app). The main advantage of Ultra vs Metal is that the account holder pays nothing on each visit (vs around €28 with Metal), not free guest access.

Does Revolut Ultra offer unlimited withdrawals?

Revolut Ultra does not offer strictly unlimited withdrawals, but its fee-free allowance of €2,000/month is the highest in the range, 2.5 times that of Metal (€800/month) and 10 times that of Standard and Plus (€200/month). Above €2,000 a month, a 2% fee (minimum €1) applies to the excess amount, as on all plans.

For the vast majority of travellers, even intensive ones, €2,000 a month in cash is a very generous allowance. It is only a genuinely differentiating perk for extremely cash-heavy usage (for example rural areas of Asia or Africa with no banking infrastructure).
