€10.99 / month

Revolut Premium: full review, is it worth its €10.99/month?

Premium is the pivotal plan in the Revolut range: it crosses two decisive thresholds that Plus does not, unlimited currency exchange and full travel insurance. For a regular traveller or a professional who frequently spends in foreign currencies, those two perks alone can pay for the subscription several times over each month. The RevPoints ×2.5 multiplier vs Standard and the savings boost round off a particularly strong package. The remaining question is whether your profile justifies upgrading from Plus, or whether Metal is directly worth its extra €8.

€10.99 / month or €110 a year on the annual subscription (that is €9.17/month)
Up-to-date pricing: since 9 July 2026, Premium costs €10.99/month (versus €9.99 before) and €110 a year (versus €100). In return, Revolut has added partner perks: Super Duolingo, Flo Premium, Lovable Lite, Laundryheap+, plus 1 GB of eSIM data a month. The banking benefits (exchange, withdrawals, insurance) are unchanged. Prices shown are for customers in France.

What Premium really brings

Premium is the first plan to offer the decisive trio: unlimited exchange, full insurance and RevPoints ×2.5. Each benefit translates into direct financial value.

  • Unlimited exchange at the interbank rate: the only mid-range plan to offer it

With Premium, you exchange as much as you like on weekdays, with no fees and no cap. For a professional who regularly pays suppliers in dollars, pounds or kroner, or an expat who transfers money every month, the saving on exchange fees can easily exceed €20 to €50 a month compared with a traditional bank.

  • Purchase protection included: cover for your everyday spending

Premium includes purchase protection that covers items bought with your Revolut card against theft, accidental damage or non-delivery. Extra cover that applies automatically, with nothing to do at the time of payment.

  • RevPoints ×2.5 vs Standard: 1 point per €4 spent

With Premium, you earn 1 RevPoint for every €4 spent, a rate 2.5 times higher than Standard. On €1,000 a month of spending through Revolut, you earn 250 points a month versus 100 with Standard, that is 1,800 extra points a year. Their actual value depends on how you use them (travel, Revolut Pay, miles, partners).

  • Full travel insurance: the most extensive of the plans below Metal

Premium travel insurance covers emergency medical expenses abroad (up to €10,000,000), cancellation before departure (up to €5,000), lost or damaged baggage, flight and baggage delays, and personal liability, for trips of up to 30 days. This cover is equivalent to an annual multi-trip travel insurance policy typically worth €80 to €150 a year.

  • Savings boost of +0.5% on Vaults

Revolut Premium adds an extra +0.5% to the interest earned in your savings Vaults. On €5,000 of savings, that is €25 a year of additional income compared with the Standard plan.

  • Partner perks and eSIM

Since the July 2026 price rise, Premium includes 1 GB of eSIM data a month abroad and partner subscriptions (Super Duolingo, Flo Premium, Lovable Lite, Laundryheap+). Their real value depends on your usage: only count them if you would have paid for them anyway.

The objective limits of Revolut Premium

No-nonsense analysis: Premium is an excellent plan for its price, but some limitations are worth knowing before you subscribe.
  • No direct cashback on spending

Despite its €10.99/month price, Premium offers no cash back on your purchases. Cashback does not exist on Revolut personal accounts (it is reserved for Pro accounts). If phone insurance matters to you, consider going straight to Metal.

  • Lounge access at a reduced rate, not free

Premium includes airport lounge access at a reduced rate, like Metal. It is not free unlimited access: you pay a reduced price per visit (around €28, indicative price shown in the app). Only Ultra offers unlimited access with no extra charge.

  • Premium at €10.99 is not the best value for every profile

If you travel little (fewer than 3 times a year) and exchange no more than €1,500 a month, Plus at €3.99 is more economical. If you travel a lot (5 times a year or more) with high spending, Metal at €18.99 pays off better. Premium is optimal for the middle ground: 3 to 5 trips a year, €1,000 to €2,000 a month of spending in foreign currencies.

Revolut Premium: who is it for?

This plan is for you if...

  • You travel 3 to 6 times a year and want full travel insurance without taking out a separate policy
  • You regularly spend more than €1,500 a month in foreign currencies (unlimited exchange saves you money compared with Plus)
  • You are a professional on the move and regularly travel abroad for work
  • Earning RevPoints ×2.5 vs Standard is an important criterion for you
  • You want lounge access at a reduced rate without paying the price of Metal

Avoid this plan if...

  • You travel fewer than 3 times a year: the Plus plan at €3.99 covers the essentials for less
  • You want free, unlimited lounges: only Ultra offers them (Premium and Metal stay at a reduced rate)
  • You want phone insurance: that requires the Metal plan
  • Your monthly exchange budget stays below €1,000: Standard or Plus are more than enough
  • You are after a metal card for the status and premium feel: that requires the Metal plan

Premium vs Plus: for +€7/month, you get unlimited exchange, full travel insurance and RevPoints ×2.5 (versus ×1). It pays off from 3 to 4 trips a year, or as soon as you regularly exchange more than €1,500 a month.

Premium vs Metal: for +€8/month (€18.99 in total), Metal adds the metal card, RevPoints ×5, phone insurance and a doubled ATM allowance. Like Premium, it gives lounge access at a reduced rate, not for free. Read our Metal review: worth it for frequent travellers (5 trips a year or more).

Frequently asked questions about Revolut Premium

Is Revolut Premium worth it for a regular traveller?

For a traveller taking 3 or more trips a year, Premium very often pays for itself. The full travel insurance (worth around €8/month if bought separately) and unlimited currency exchange are the two main drivers of value.

Add the RevPoints ×2.5 multiplier on all your spending, and Premium is almost certain to pay off for a regular traveller. Our simulator can give you a precise figure based on how often you travel.

Does Premium include airport lounge access?

Premium includes airport lounge access at a reduced rate (around €28 per visit through DragonPass, indicative price shown in the app), just like Metal. Standard and Plus also allow access, but at full price. Only Ultra offers fully free, unlimited access for the account holder.

If you are looking for unlimited lounge access with no extra charge per visit, only the Ultra plan (€60/month) offers it.

Premium vs Metal: what is the main difference?

For €8 more per month, Metal adds three significant things Premium does not offer: the stainless steel card, the RevPoints ×5 multiplier (versus ×2.5) and phone insurance. Premium and Metal both have lounge access at a reduced rate.

In practice: if you want phone insurance or a doubled ATM withdrawal allowance (€800/month versus €400/month), Metal is the way to go. Our full review of Metal helps you decide based on your own figures.

Is currency exchange really unlimited on Premium?

Yes. Revolut Premium removes the monthly exchange allowance on weekdays (business days): you convert as much as you like at the interbank rate, with no commission and no limit, unlike Standard (€1,000/month) and Plus (€3,000/month).

At the weekend (Friday evening to Sunday evening, New York time), the interbank markets are closed: Revolut applies a mark-up of 1% on Standard and 0.5% on Plus. Premium, Metal and Ultra are not subject to it.

Is Revolut Premium cheaper on an annual plan?

Yes. The annual Premium subscription is billed at €110 a year since the price rise of 9 July 2026 (versus €100 before), the equivalent of €9.17/month instead of €10.99 on monthly billing: a saving of around €21.88 a year.

Our recommendation: start with monthly billing for 2 to 3 months to confirm that Premium suits your usage, then switch to annual billing from the Revolut app.
